Service of process is the procedure employed to give legal notice to a person (such as a defendant) of a court or administrative body's exercise of its jurisdiction over that person so as to enable that person to respond to the proceeding before the court, body or other tribunal. Usually, notice is furnished by delivering a set of court documents (called "process") to the person to be served.

You cannot serve the other side yourself. Whichever method you choose, proof that the other side was served must be filed with the court. You must make sure the other side gets a copy of the papers you are filing. Your case cannot move forward until the other side is served. Someone who is capable of serving must physically give a copy of all necessary forms to the person whom you filed a complaint against in court. 

We can do that by private process or trough The Hague convention on the service abroad of judicial and extrajudicial documents in civil or commercial matters.

In Argentina there are not certified agencies for proof of service.  However lawyers can deal with this kind of process in court, passing before and after the notification though the Central Authority of the convention, or directly, we can serve documents accordingly to what court orders.
